The Production Prize
What is The Production Prize?
After 6 years of success with our nationwide songwriting competition, The Songwriting Prize, we thought it was high time that we gave an outlet to music producers and so in July 2022 we launched The Production Prize; Australia’s only music production competition.
Entrants for The Production Prize will be given the recorded chords and vocal stems for an original track from AYA YVES, ZELIE and Jordan Leonard, and will be tasked with creating the musical bed for these stems to sit on. Music industry judges will then shortlist the Top 5 entries which will be invited to be performed at a very special showcase event in October.
The winner will be crowned at the showcase event and will win a prize package including plugins, audio equipment, studio time, mentoring and a whole host more from our sponsors.

For Producers
We encourage music producers to show all of their creativity with the production of the track(s), taking the incredibly raw and powerful vocals and produce something to reflect the years’ theme.
We welcome tracks from all genres and categories. Songs will be judged on the quality of your original production.
Entries are open from Mon 11th July to Sun 18th September 2022.
For Music Fans
After the preliminary round is completed each year, we invite you to attend the Showacse event, where you can hear the finalists tracks and how they were put together.
The event will feature each shortlisted song, being showcased live by the producer. Our events have been described as “supportive”, “spell-binding” and “healing”. Be prepared for a night of community building, togetherness and incredible music.
