The Production Prize is our latest event series, born out of our hugely successful The Songwriting Prize events, with a competition specifically for Producers.
Producers will take the base stems from a brand new song, written for the competition by AYA YVES, ZELIE and Jordan Leonard, and build the bed that the vocals and chords will sit on. The song has been written with the theme of “Feeling Better” in mind and we aim to uncover some exceptional talented producers.
Our Events arm is what we’re best known for and our flagship event, The Songwriting Prize, is Australia’s first nationwide songwriting competition with a mental health focus.
Every year we invite songwriters, from all across Australia, to write and/or submit an original song in response to a mental health theme. The competition runs from April to November each year.
Torch Fest is Australia’s biggest mental health music festival, shining a light on inspirational artists and their stories.
The name Torch Fest comes from the idea that everyone has a Torch Song; the light that gets you through, and all performers at the festival will play their Torch Song (original or cover) as part of their set.
Right now, people who can’t find work, or enough of it, are forced into poverty as they have no choice but to rely on the meagre JobSeeker Payment (unemployment benefit) which is over $140 a week below the poverty line!
Australia needs an anthem to give voice to the rising rallying cry for fairness, respect and an increase to the JobSeeker Payment.
